Why everyone should have friends that inspire…
One of the best things we can do to help ourselves move toward our dreams is to surround ourselves with people who will motivate us to take steps toward our dreams. Some of the most inspiring moments come from people in our own circle of friends that are accomplishing their goals. As we celebrate their successes, we gain inspiration and encouragement. We learn that if THEY are able to navigate the difficult path of going for something out of their reach then maybe WE too can accomplish our own impossibilities.
It is priceless to have a tribe of friends that can offer accountability, encouragement and inspiration. For Eric and I, our friends, Kevin and Megan Langdon, are these type of people. Over the years we have shared inspiring conversations and gained encouragement as we celebrated each others successes. They have motivated us to keep stepping toward the “breaking average” life we long for.
We cheered them on as they worked late into the night to build their own house. It has been awesome hearing about the amazing places they have traveled with their family. But most of all, we have been inspired by seeing them accomplish big goals. Check out some of Kevin’s amazing work on the Play Impossible Gameball.
One of their latest family goals has been creating a fun YouTube channel called, “Summer Flies” . Kevin, Megan, and their three boys, Ephraim, Joel, and Caleb, spent the summer filming their crazy summer adventures. Ya’ll, I personally tested out their back yard, 600 ft, Zip line and it is CRAZY FUN!!
Besides getting to be in on some of the fun things they create, friends also share the wisdom they gain while journeying the rocky road of accomplishment. Kevin and Megan have offered to share some of that wisdom with all of us here by answering the questions:
What is the hardest part of going after your dream?
What has been the most rewarding part of going after your dream?
What advice would you give to encourage someone else to chase after their dream?
Check it out!
I encourage you to find friends that offer you wisdom, inspire you, and encourage you to chase after your dreams! If you don’t have any dreamers in your inner circle, go find them. Step outside of your comfort zone and invite someone who inspires you to dinner or out for dessert. What are you waiting for? Get busy living a Breaking Average Life!
